Disgaea 1 HD Remake Announced

Legendary publisher Nippon Ichi held a livestream for their Japanese Summer releases today where amongst other announcments was the reveal of a HD remake of the original Disgaea.

Forward the video to around 10 minutes for the announcement. Details are scant at the moment but it looks like this is going to be a much more revolutionary remake instead of the basic rereleases the game has got over the years on PSP, DS and PC. No localization has been confirmed yet, but after the performance of Disgaea 5 for switch in the west i’d be surprised if an announcement doesn’t follow soon.

Also announced at the livestream was indie side scroller Liar Princess and the Blind Prince as well as an intriguing looking FMV horror game; Project Nightmare.

Though this livestream didn’t contain the Disgaea 6 announcement that fans were hoping for, it looks like N1 fans are going to have a great summer.
