Where is our Deadly Premonition 2 review?

So we received a review code for Deadly Premonition 2, 1 day before release. By this point many reviews had already dropped for the title. While I haven’t read any, I know much like with 1, there is a wide distance of scores.

Being a huge fan of Deadly Premonition and SWERY 65s work, I have avoided all of the reviews and even went as far as to have only seen the announcement trailer, the week of release.

So there is the background, I am a huge fan of the game and there was always going to be a certain level of expectation. I always pride myself on not letting fanboy bias seep into my reviews and I am struggling with this one ALOT.

For those unaware, Deadly Premonition 2: A Blessing In Disguise has ALOT of issues, some I can overlook and some I cannot. Looking back at my notes I am currently in double figures for Crashes/Lock ups. The frame rate in the open world, especially when docked is that inconsistent it makes me feel nauseous and has caused a headache on one occasion.

Regardless of the above I am really enjoying the game in small doses. I believe there is a patch on the way to alleviate some of the issues with the game and as such our review will be delayed until that patch.

This is because I firmly believe the game is alot better than I could currently score it and I have faith in Rising Star Games and SWERY to address the issues currently within the gameĀ

Thank for you bearing with us in regards to this review, once the patch details are known we will make a decision on regards to how our review will fall.
