Surf Like It is 1999 in Hypnospace

Publisher No More Robots has announced it’s third title as Hypnospace Outlaw, a 90’s internet simulator from the minds at Tendershoot.

Set in the year 1999, Hypnospace Outlaw asks you to scour the Hypnospace, checking out a wide variety of weird and wonderful websites, keeping an eye on your work email, and downloading a plethora of apps that may or may not be useful.  You are tasked to trawl and police an alternate reality internet, keeping this very different online experience free from bullying, copyright theft and vandalism.

It is not all about being an internet vigilante though.  You can customize your HypnOS desktop however you see fit, with a variety of downloads, wallpapers, screen savers and helper bots to keep you company.

Along side this announcement, a very ambitious server has been set up at Discord which is essentially the 90’s internet contained within a server and allows for anyone to create and share their own “webpage” directly within the server.

I feel this may get a little messy.  The internet in the 90’s was a magical place full of webpages containing many animated gifs!

You can also sign up for the Hyonospace beta at the Discord server too which should be happening later this year.

Hypnospace Outlaw will launch later this year on PC, Mac and Linux, with potential console plans to be announced soon.
