Blade Strangers announcement

Nicalis famous for Cave Story, VVVVVV & Blinding of Issac has just announced Blade Strangers, 1 vs 1 Fighter with characters from Nicalis titles taking on some of the cast from Studio Saizensen.

Blade Strangers uses 3D Animation to create the frames then uses a team of experienced 2D artists to add the little nuances of 2D Sprite based fighting games. It’ll also feature a more streamlined control system doing away with half quarter circles and the like.

As you can see from the above screens Blade Strangers looks fantastic. No release date has been announced just yet but the game is to see release on Playstation 4, Switch, PC & TBD on X Box One.
