PS Now Latest Update (UK)

Sony have just dropped the latest Playstation Now update. With Halloween just around the corner it was quite obvious that we would see a themed update. Not a huge list but 10 new titles have been added to the service (info taken from the Playstation Store);

The Darkness

The Darkness features an Italian-American hitman for the mafia named Jackie Estacado as the protagonist. The game includes a range of modern-day weapons that become available over the course of the game. However, as a result of Estacado turning 21 at the start of the game, the powers of The Darkness are available to the player, with some powers not being unlocked until later in the game. The Darkness powers include summoning different types of imp-like “darklings” that can attack foes, using “dark tentacles” to impale foes or break down walls, using “creeping dark” tendrils that sneak along floors, walls, and ceilings to take out foes from a distance, and creating a black hole that sucks anything nearby into it.

Resident Evil Operation Raccoon City

Operation Raccoon City is a unique shooter experience a brutal three way battle set in the terrifying and twisted world of Resident Evil. After the release of the deadly T-virus biological weapon, virtually the entire population of Raccoon City’s is now dead or transformed into horrific zombies. The Umbrella Corporation cannot allow the extent of their involvement to become public. For the first time, you play as Umbrella’s crack paramilitary unit Umbrella Security Service (USS), sent in to the dying city to ensure the truth remains buried. Zombie hordes and vicious bio-organic weapons flood the city but a bigger threat to your mission exists…. a government ‘Spec Ops’ unit has been sent in to hunt you down and capture the evidence you’re fighting to destroy.

This latest release in the series brings the latest techniques and many new elements to the original story from the 2007 release of ‘BLADESTORM: The Hundred Years’ War.’
Players play as a mercenary and take control of a multitude of different squad types in order to guide their side to victory on a dynamically evolving battlefield.
