Shin Megami Tensei 4 Final Announcement Video

So, as you’ve probably already seen, SMT4 Final has been announced, and we have screenshots on the site but no videos yet.

Originally, I found some gameplay and the trailer, while looking for official releases for the site I managed to find the whole stream where it was announced.

The trailer starts around 2:50 and the gameplay starts at around 42:50.

I’ve only skimmed this, and haven’t had the chance to watch the full thing yet, however the trailer shows the main character coming back to life and Doguza appearing on their phone. The gameplay shows the boss battle with Medusa, where we see the choice system return, which if you’re unfamiliar with it was just a dialog system which happens half way through certain boss battles, the boss says something, then you have to respond with a choice from a list on the lower screen, depending on what you choose, you can either strengthen your party, strengthen the boss, weaken your party, weaken the boss or, if memory serves, in rare cases nothing will happen.

We also see the addition of assists, where people who aren’t in your party will help you, in this video Navarre does something which seemed to improve your teams stats (I’m guessing defense) and did some damage to Medusa.

The more I see of this, the more hyped I get and I can’t wait for more information to be released.
