Gekido: Kintaro’s Revenge releasing on Switch

Naps Team have chosen to bring out their cult classic Gekido: Kintaro’s Revenge on the Nintendo Switch. Originally the title released on the Gameboy Advance as a sequel to the Playstation 1 title Gekido.

“A year has passed since the epic battle that decided the fate of mankind and
claimed the life of the beloved Angela. Dark omens once again tell of the return of
an evil presence. Ushi is the last remaining master of the ancient art of Shin-Ken,
and he calls upon Tetsuo, his disciple and adopted son, to investigate some
strange happenings in a faraway farming village outside the city.”

Gekido: Kintaro’s Revenge will feature a totally new Soundtrack, 2 new game modes, new visuals assets & due to the nature of the Switch, easy 2 player Co-op. The game will release exclusively on the Nintendo e-shop on the 22nd March

The new game modes are a Survival Mode & a rogue-like mode where you are tasked with fighting your way through procedurally generated dungeons to find relics.

The original Gekido: Kintaro’s Revenge released to some fantastic reviews and this looks like a love letter to Beat Em Up fans everywhere.
