Point & Click Adventure Memoranda Starts Kickstarter Campaign

I think the point and click genre is making a serious comeback.  As I look through Kickstarter I will always see a few new gaming projects that are going live for point & click adventure games.  I am all up for this as these were a corner stone of my child hood and I feel that modern takes on the genre are not capturing the magic which made them special to me.

However though, it seems that I am not the only one that wishes to recapture this magic.  Memoranda is a point and click adventure game being developed by Bit Byterz that is based upon the stories written by Japanese author Haruki Murakami.

Memorandum noun – a short note designating something to be remembered, especially something to be done or acted upon in the future; reminder.

Memoranda is a 2D point and click adventure game in which the pain protagonist is slowly forgetting what her name is and you goal is for you to find her name again.  This will game will include over 40 scenes, 30 characters and a good helping of puzzles to solve.  It has been mentioned that the puzzles will not be easy but there will always be clues around that will aid you on your journey.

What really struck me about Memoranda is that artwork.  The art is being handled by Maliheh Rahrovan who loves games with artistic touches such as Machinarium and this can be seen in this game.

The project is currently on Kickstarter with a target of £18,000 CAD to fund the project.  At the time of writing it has hit just under $2,500 CAD with 37 days to go so it has plenty of time to reach.
