One To Watch : tiny & Tall Gleipnir

Kickstarter is without doubt one of the best way to get your dream project of the grounds.  This is true for comic book artist Antonie Piers who launched a Kickstarter to bring the first book of his comic series, tiny & Tall Gleipnir to video game form.

tiny & Tall Gleipnir is a point and click adventure game that takes inspiration from the Lucas Arts video games of the early 90s.  Features include;

  • Old school point’n’click gameplay: Pick up items, use them with the environment or on one another, talk with colourful characters, all this with your mouse.
  • An epic story lived by characters who absolutely aren’t. Thus, gags. Also, closer to the original legend than you might think!
  • Handpainted backgrounds! Handpainted on a computer. It counts, right?
  • A thrilling soundtrack written for the game by yours truly and by the talentuously talented Detox (Unfrethead)!
  • An amusing cast of characters which will delight you with their wit.

This is looking like a huge project for one person but looking at all the art work and back story it looks like the developer has a solid play for this project.  There is a demo available and I will be giving that a playthrough later this week with my impressions following soon after.

In the mean time why not visit the Kickstarter page for more details on this epic adventure.
